This grounding exercise is a simple, powerful way to help move yourself out of dysregulation and back into a more grounded state. If using all of the steps feels overwhelming, choose the ones that feel easiest to remember and most supportive in the moment.

Feelings/Emotions Wheel
This wheel helps you identify and better understand the emotions you’re experiencing. Awareness is an important first step in working through any challenge.
When you can name and understand your emotions—especially in triggering situations—you can begin to respond to them with more intention and care, rather than feeling overwhelmed by them.
